How Online C Compiler handles code, input, share links, result caching, browser storage, optional AI assistance and analytics.

Data Handling Depends on the Feature

Cloud Run, Share and optional AI send workspace content for processing. Storage and third-party handling depend on the feature you use. Avoid submitting secrets, credentials or sensitive personal information.

1. Cloud Run & Compilation Providers

When you use cloud Run, source files (including filenames), standard input and execution options are sent for compilation. The application supports a configured Piston endpoint, a Wandbox fallback, and a direct browser fallback to the public Piston service. These paths can involve third-party processing.

Provider responses can include output, diagnostics and other execution details. Local editing and the browser-based educational interpreter are different from cloud execution; do not assume all actions stay on your device.

Compiler versions, supported language standards and accepted flags depend on the execution provider and configuration. A selectable option is not a guarantee that every execution path supports it.

2. Browser Local Storage & Autosave

Autosave can keep editor drafts, standard input, compiler flags and preferences in browser local storage on your device. Clear browser site data to remove that local copy, and keep separate backups of work you need.

Using Run, Share or optional AI can transmit the same content independently of local autosave. Clearing browser site data does not remove copies already sent to a server, provider or another person.

4. Compilation Result Cache

The application can cache execution responses, including output, diagnostics and raw provider results, in process memory. The cache key is a digest of the submitted source, input and options; this does not make the response content anonymous.

Current cache retrieval validity is five minutes, with a 500-entry limit. Entries may be evicted sooner or lost on restart. Expiry is checked on retrieval, not a guarantee of immediate deletion across every system.

5. Optional AI Assistance

When configured and invoked, AI assistance sends prompts to Gemini. Prompts can include code, your questions, conversation history and error context. Do not include secrets or information you are not authorized to send.

Provider retention and training terms depend on the applicable service and account agreement. This page does not promise zero retention or no model training by every provider; those commitments require separate verification.

6. Network Metadata & Operational Logs

Requests expose network metadata such as IP addresses to the serving infrastructure. The application uses IP-based rate limiting and can log upstream errors for diagnosis. Do not assume these records are anonymous or always free of submitted content.

Retention and access controls for hosting, proxy logs and external providers require operational review. Application cache or share-link expiry does not establish a retention deadline for those other systems.

7. Third-Party Services & Cookies

We may display third-party advertisements, such as Google AdSense and Ezoic. These services may use cookies or web beacons under their own privacy policies. The page also loads Google Analytics and Ezoic analytics for usage measurement. Advertising and analytics are separate from the compilation and optional AI processing described above.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this website through interaction analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings. Clarity may use cookies. The compiler workspace and embedded code runners are masked before their contents are sent to Clarity, including source code, filenames, standard input, and execution output. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Clarity masking does not establish what other providers receive or guarantee that all third-party scripts are unable to access workspace content.

8. Security & Provider Limits

Use the HTTPS website and avoid sending confidential material. Specific execution isolation, resource limits, logging and deletion practices depend on the configured infrastructure and providers. This description is not a certification of those controls or a promise of immediate erasure.
