Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy

Welcome to Online C Compiler. By accessing or using this website, web IDE, diagnostic engines, and sandbox infrastructure, you agree to comply with the terms and acceptable use guidelines outlined below.

Acceptable Use & Sandbox Guidelines

Permitted & Encouraged Activities
  • ✓Writing, compiling, and testing C code within the capabilities of the selected execution path.
  • ✓Academic learning, university coursework, teaching, and algorithm practice.
  • ✓Technical interview preparation and algorithmic data structure experiments.
  • ✓Debugging pointer arithmetic, memory layouts, and compiler diagnostic flags.
  • ✓File operations supported by the execution provider, without accessing other users' data or bypassing restrictions.
Strictly Prohibited Violations
  • ✗Cryptocurrency Mining: Any form of blockchain mining or Proof-of-Work computations.
  • ✗Denial of Service: Fork bombing, socket flood attacks, or intentional resource exhaustion.
  • ✗Malware & Exploits: Compiling botnets, rootkits, keyloggers, or vulnerability payload generation.
  • ✗Network Scanning: Port probing, unauthorized packet transmission, or tunneling attacks.
  • ✗Automated Scraping / API Abuse: High-frequency automated script bombardment without authorization.

1. Sandbox Execution Quotas & Resource Enforcements

Execution availability and resource limits depend on the configured provider. The application can reject oversized requests, rate-limit traffic and restrict concurrent runs:

Execution Time

Runs may time out. Timeout durations and reported exit codes vary by provider and execution path.

Memory & Resources

Providers can restrict memory and other resources. No single memory allowance or termination code is guaranteed here.

Files & Access

File-system behavior and permissions vary by provider. Do not attempt to bypass access restrictions.

Requests may be throttled or rejected under application or provider limits. Supported compiler versions, language standards and flags depend on the execution path.

2. Code Ownership & Intellectual Property

You retain any ownership rights you hold in code, algorithms and data you submit or create on this platform.

We do not claim any copyright, patent, trademark, or licensing rights over your code. In alignment with our Privacy Policy, Cloud Run, Share and optional AI send workspace content for processing. Share links make submitted snapshots accessible to anyone with the link. Browser autosave, result caching and third-party provider handling are described separately in that policy; do not submit material you are not authorized to share.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

This service, compiler tools, assembly viewers, and educational exercises are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for mission-critical work. Keep independent backups of your source code; browser storage, cached results and share links are not a backup service.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Online C Compiler and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use or inability to use this service, data loss, compilation delays, or sandbox enforcement actions.

5. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these terms periodically to reflect security enhancements, infrastructure updates, or legal compliance. Continued use of the service following modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
